See how you’re really spending time at work

| March 7, 2014

Using Time Doctor, Biz 3.0 tracked wasted time in the workplace and found that the typical office time wasters may be costing employers millions, if not billions, in lost productivity.

There’s no question that technology makes it easier than ever to get distracted from work, and Biz 3.0’s infographic breaks down workplace distraction to show how wasted time in the workplace affects overall productivity.

So how is time wasted at the workplace? The top three time wasters are surfing the web, socializing with co-workers, and conducting personal business. This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, especially if you’re spending the average of 55 minutes per day on Facebook or count yourself among the 31.2 percent of workers who believe it’s okay to visit non-related sites while at work.

Check out the rest of the stats below, and (if you ask us, anyway) feel free to consider it time well-spent!
