But when the \u00a0grounds or creamers are depleted, workplace tension can boil over and brewing areas can become battle grounds. The same employees are continually harassed about ordering new coffee, big brown stains litter the counters, and \u00a0grinds are splattered near the machine. A <a title=\"CareerBuilder and Dunkin Donuts Survey \" href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/careerbuilder-and-dunkin-donuts-survey-finds-which-professions-need-coffee-the-most-103854043.html\" rel=\"nofollow\">survey <\/a>by CareerBuilder and Dunkin Donuts revealed the following statistics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>43 percent of coffee drinkers say they\u2019re less productive without a cup of coffee on the job.<\/li>\n<li>37 percent of workers drink at least two cups during their workday.<\/li>\n<li>40 percent of workers aged 18 to 24 say they struggle to concentrate without coffee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_578\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mydoorsign.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Coffee-cup.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-578\" class=\"size-full wp-image-578\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mydoorsign.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Coffee-cup.jpg\" alt=\"Coffee cup\" width=\"640\" height=\"424\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mydoorsign.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Coffee-cup.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.mydoorsign.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Coffee-cup-300x198.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.mydoorsign.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Coffee-cup-298x197.jpg 298w, https:\/\/www.mydoorsign.com/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Coffee-cup-620x410.jpg 620w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-578\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">43 percent of American workers say they&#8217;re less productive without a cup of coffee.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Let\u2019s face it: if one person (apart from any office managers at hand) is the only go-to person for all \u00a0housekeeping needs, he or she is bound to get resentful. They may be ineffectual, or simply stop doing it. Given the importance of caffeine, a collaborative effort is necessary to keep workers happy and the communal property clean. But how do you foster participation?<\/p>\n<p>Remember <a title=\"Chore chart\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/63791648@N00\/540578856\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">chore charts <\/a>from camp or college? A makeshift chore wheel or chart is an easy and attention-grabbing way to organize office-cleaning duties. A chore chart could be made especially for these duties; either hand-drawn or digitally; we suggest trying with a Google Doc.<\/p>\n<p>Residue from water and brewing builds up over time. Make sure everyone knows how to properly clean a coffee machine. \u00a0Posting an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marthastewart.com\/269335\/kitchen-tip-cleaning-a-coffeemaker\" rel=\"nofollow\">instructional guide<\/a> could be helpful. You can create your own, or just post the following.<\/p>\n<p>A permanent, visual enforcement is an excellent respite from the alternate reminder method: nagging until you\u2019re blue in the face.
