To prepare a custom map, take a photocopy to your local office supplies store and create an 8? by 11? transparency to place in your evacuation sign frame.

Mount your frame in a location that generally absorbs natural or an artificial light source.

When the lights are on, your evacuation map will be visible with white text. When the lights go out, that white background and text will glow green, so your map is clear and visible.
